Handcrafted Mithila Fish Mandala Wall Painting

### About this Artwork This dynamic aquatic painting was hand-created by Master Artisan Bina Devi in Rasidpur, Madhubani. It centers on the sacred Matsya Yantra — four gracefully swimming fish aligned in harmonious cosmic symmetry. ### Craft Technique & Materials Rendered in the Classical Bharni style, characterized by bold, unapologetic contours and rich, opaque fills using natural and mineral pigments. The background is washed in organic earth tones, highlighting the deep madder red and indigo hues of the central figures. ### Symbolic Meaning & Iconography - In Mithila folklore, the fish represents the first incarnation of Lord Vishnu (Matsya Avatar) who rescued cosmic knowledge from the great deluge. - The four-quadrant layout signifies harmony across the four cardinal directions. - Flowing aquatic waves and floral tendrils invoke fluidity, resilience, and continuous household prosperity. ### Provenance & Certification Ships with an official stamped Certificate of Authenticity (Passport ID: MD-AUTH-MATSYA-05) from the Mithila Dharohar Collective.
